Userplane Chat Integration appears to be abandoned

Userplane Chat Integration (http://drupal.org/project/userplanechat) has been abandoned for some time.

The project owner (http://drupal.org/user/130722) has not logged in/posted for more than two years:

There is no Drupal 6.x version of the module, and with the release of Drupal 7 later this year this module will only run on an obsolete/unsupported version of Drupal (5.x).

This module has an open issue having to do with licensing and the inclusion of third-party non-GPL code in the repository. See the discussion at http://drupal.org/node/460824 for details. The questions raised by killes in #1 and Crell in #3 and #6 of that thread have not been answered by the project owner. For the reasons raised in that thread I don't think the code should remain in the repository. I think this project qualifies as badly broken and should be unpublished.

Potential impact of unpublishing this project:

Usage statistics (http://drupal.org/project/usage/userplanechat) show that nobody is using this module. These weekly reports show an average value of 1.1 users per week over the past 90 weeks, with the most probable value being 0 users and with the maximum value being 4 users at a time. (Although the statistics are admittedly skewed because the module has no 6.x release...) The fluctuation can be attributed entirely to people trying out the module then abandoning it. Since the most common weekly usage is 0 users we can assume that nobody has this installed permanently. From this I conclude that the impact of unpublishing this module is negligible.
