I have renamed a taxonomy from Primary Section Link to Area Link.

Since the rename it no longer shows up in my content type. Is there a problem with renaming taxonomies??

That shouldn't happen.

Check www.yoursite.com/admin/content/taxonomy/edit/vocabulary/2 (or whatever the number of this taxonomy is)
and see if your content type is still checked.

Thanks Tom,

I have checked that the content type is still checked and I have unchecked it and rechecked it but the taxonomy field still doesn't appear once renamed. If I change the name back to what it was orginally, it does reappear.

There has already been content created using this content type with the orginally named taxonomy. Could this be why the problem is occuring?
