einkahumor commentedHeh, forgot to change the title.
avpadernoWhat is your relation with http://drupal.org/project/is?
busla commentedhttp://drupal.org/project/is? is not active and the last post on the page is 2 years old. It only has a 5.1 translation.
einkahumor commentedAmazing as it may seem, I did not find that project earlier and had completely forgotten that it existed. I'll contact the current maintainer of that project and see if he's willing to hand over maintenance of that project to me. In any case, that project is clearly not active at this time so they're not likely to be working on new translations.
I downloaded that old translation waaay back and found it to be very far from complete and very inconsistent so I decided to start from scratch at the time.
Anonymous (not verified) commentedUsers that in this moment can ask to add a language on l.d.o are maintainers of an existing translation server, or the maintainers of a translation project when those exist, or all users when there isn't a translation server or a translation project.
In this case, the translation project exists.

einkahumor commentedRoger that. I'm working on taking over the Icelandic Translation project. I'll update this issue when that change has gone through.
avpaderno@Einkahumor: You forgot to apply for a CVS account.
einkahumor commentedHeh, actually I didn't forget it, just had to get confirmation on that aforementioned issue so I could apply for a CVS account. Then I had to go to lunch and to a meeting and the dog ate my assignment and so forth ;-)
Aaaanyway: I've applied for a CVS account now. Thanks for your patience and help.
avpadernoEinkahumor is now the current maintainer of the Icelandic translation project (welcome on board, but without the dog! ;-)).
gábor hojtsyOk, given all this nice progress, I've created the team at http://localize.drupal.org/languages/is and intended to make Einkahumor the maintainer, but he did not seem to have logged in on localize.drupal.org yet, so his account was not available to assign the group to. (I'm marked as the owner until you log in on l.d.o).
We're almost there. @Einkahumor: your turn.
einkahumor commentedSorry about that, I recently changed my username which is probably the reason for this. Should be fixed now.
gábor hojtsyReassigned, thank you.
Please expect that there might be bumps in the service. You are among the beta-tester of this live instance. Thanks for helping out and please report issues as you find them! Your team members can now join and help import existing translations and work on more translations.
Anybody can sign up for being a member of the team and they will be able to submit suggestions right away. The initial admin can change permissions of people signing up, widening their capabilities. See http://localize.drupal.org/node/616 [2] for explanation on how. It is highly suggested to grant both moderation permissions to those who you also designate admins.
Welcome on board!
