This patch introduces the possibility to configure if the LDAP entry local task (tab) should be displayed on profile pages or not. The configuration is done at the admin/settings/ldap/ldapauth page in the LDAP UI options section. When this option is enabled, ldapdata_category_access($account) in file ldapdata.module will return FALSE instead outputting the LDAP entry tab.
When using the Profile module with categorized profile fields, both the profile categories tabs and the LDAP entry tab is displayed by default. Since its possible to update and view the profile fields on their respective category page, the LDAP entry page doesn't add any extra functionality to what is already available. Also, the LDAP entry tab seems to confuse the general user who doesn't know what LDAP is.
The attached screenshots will show how the changes affect the UI.
