I have read the Readme.doc and I am able to create marks but I can't get the blocks to show up on the node and I am not sure what it is suppose to work like. if you could walk me through or send me in the right direction.

Have you gone to the block configuration page (`admin/build/block`) and made the blocks visible?

I ran into the same issue, and I'm pretty sure what happened here was that the OP enabled the block, but then didn't configure the block to allow for his marks to be accessible by the block (i.e. the "Enable marks:" section).
