I've prepared a fairly detailed specification for a product-based social networking site that I would like to launch. It could also be viewed as an e-commerce site with a social networking 'layer' (though nothing will be sold through the site).
Major features include profiles where users will list their interests and products, image/video galleries, forum, part landing pages (with links to: users, manufacturers, related forum posts, tagged pictures; user reviews), classified ads, forums and faceted search. Users will follow other users and have friends. Activity streams will be available for users, parts, etc. Taxonomy and tagging will be featured heavily to organize content.

Thanks to everyone that has contacted me. I just wanted to add that I have a detailed document (17 pages) with use cases and functionality, a basic ER diagram, and a database with all the taxonomy terms and their relationship.
I am currently based in Barcelona and speak English, good French, and decent Spanish. My time is 95% focused on launching this project.
