I'd like to know how to implement Adsense Targeting on my Drupal 6.x site. I have installed the Adsense module and it is working nicely. The problem is that the name of my company (which is a technology company) includes the word "Cat's". Because of this, the Adsense ads on my site have loads of references to Cat products (!) rather than technology products which, apart from anything else looks very silly.

I have checked the 'Enable Targeting' box in the setup section of the Adsense module and I have seen the section on Google's website about how to implement Adsense (https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=23168). My question is, since this is HTML, how do I implement this on my site? I'm okay with HTML coding - do I just put these tags on every page or just one? And is there any way to tell Google to ignore reference to all things feline?!

Thanks,
Nigel

A shot in the dark: I recall once having to put a forward slash before an apostrophe to make it work (and it did work after that). Have you tried?

Many thanks for your answer. However, it's not that I'm trying something and can't get it to work - the problem is that I don't know the right way to go about implementing targeting using the Drupal Adsense module. Adsense is working fine on my website and the adverts appear as they should. The problem is that their content is inappropriate because Google obviously thinks that my website has something to do with cats (which it doesn't). The site is technology-related and I think it would be far better if the advertisements reflected this.

I therefore want to make whatever changes are necessary to my site to make sure that Google's search bots do not identify the site as having anything to do with cats (I know it may take a few weeks to pick this up once I have made the changes). I am guessing that I need to add some HTML into some of my pages but I can't find any guidance on the correct way to do this within Drupal.

Sorry, I thought google was misreading your site because of the lack of an apostrophe in the word cat's.

Have you tried the adsense injector module:
