Javascript plugin args documentation

Hello,

I am trying to write a simple plugin to update a picture after successful ajax form submission. I found the hook names in the documentation, but I can't figure out which args data is passed to which hook and how to use it! I'm looking through the module but its taking for ever. Please help me out if you can thanks.
