Hi,
I've installed Embeded Inline Media, enabled it, reconfigured the filters and yesterday even succeeded in inserting a URL that was transformed to the Youtube video.
Today I looked at the post I posted yesterday and instead of the video I see "Sorry, you need to install flash to see this content.".
Now, I KNOW for sure that my browser has flash installed - even checked it on another browser. When I try to edit the post, I still see this message. When I change the post a bit and hit the Preview button, I see the video correctly. Saving the node brings back the dreaded flash message.
Ahem... Help? :)

Eli Baskin commentedHmm, disabling JW and SWF object and clearing the cache solved the problem... I thought they were needed to play the videos.

muschpusch commentedI can reproduce this using embedded media field -> video. On version 6.x-2.1.

Anonymous (not verified) commentedI have experienced the same issue with embedded media field -> video with YouTube. This occurred after I installed JQuery Update and Colorbox. After disabling those two modules and clearing the cache the module worked as expected.

kobnim commentedEarlier today I started getting the same youtube error message.
Also earlier today, I upgraded these modules:
(a) upgrade colorbox from beta8 to beta9
(b) upgrade emfield from 2.x to 2.4
I compared the two different versions of emfield -- 2.x and 2.4 -- and there appear to be no changes to the emfield module or the emvideo module.
That leads me to suspect that perhaps the problem is related to the colorbox upgrade.
I filed a colorbox issue here: http://drupal.org/node/996488

kobnim commentedRegarding the problem, that I can view youtube videos outside colorbox but not within colorbox ("sorry you need to install flash"), I have some very interesting results.
Interesting Result #1
----------------------------
The problem happens with both emfield-2.3 and emfield-2.4.
But it goes away with the 2.x development version, dated 2010-11-18.
So it seems that something got fixed in 2.x, and unfixed in 2.4
(Note: in all 3 installations -- 2.3, 2.4, 2.x -- the youtube setting "Use JW FLV Media Player" was unchecked.)
Interesting Result #2
---------------------------
If I reinstall emfield-2.4, but delete my audio player, then the problem goes away and I am once again able to view youtube videos within colorbox.
And now we come full circle ...
Earlier today I filed this issue, http://drupal.org/node/999768, "jw flv media player: auto-populated with wrong path". Emfield was mistakenly inserting the path to my audio-player. And so that explains, at least in part, why deleting the audio player fixed my colorbox-youtube player.
As you pointed out (putting colorbox aside), I can easily work around the emfield auto-population problem by simply unchecking the "use jw flv media player". But when colorbox is added to the mixture, perhaps the "use jw flv media player" setting is getting ignored?
I have filed a pointer to this issue in the colorbox queue: http://drupal.org/node/996488#comment-3838950
Much thanks to both you and frjo for any help you can give me in resolving this issue.
