I'm trying to find myself a module that adds the JW player to my site, so that I can use rtmpe streams from external hosts, like that of myspace video, and any FLV stream using the 'file' flashvar. However, is that what I've tried to read in order to determine which module is best suited to this has been overly technical or contains no real information on what i need to know. At worst, some even seem to have handicapped the functionality of the JW player disallowing the use of certain flashvars(like the ever important 'file' flashvar for mysterious reasons), or are limited to local files.
I know embedded media module would be the obvious choice for streaming videos, but it's custom url setup doesn't seem to accept streams so universally as the JW player itself does, at least according to what i've seen other non drupal sites stream using it.
Is there somebody here who knows their way around the flash modules, or just JW player and drupal that can help a guy out? Is there any way to add JW player to a drupal site without handicapping it so I can stream from outside hosts as long as i have and flv file url?
