I just played a bit around with this module and I am having a strange problem. Whenever I place my (filesystem) container directory outside Drupal, it's trying to resolve the file inside Drupal base. Using directories outside the web-root doesn't work at all. I don't know if this is intended to work that way, but there is also no option to actually download the file through the serving url (like system/storage_api/serve/id/file) without redirecting to the physical position (like containerdirectory/objects/file).

When using filesystem/drupal as container, it does not redirect the browser, but again, I can't use a directory outside the web root (outside drupal works, though).

Am I missing something here?

I am a new co-maintainer for Storage_API. Drupal 6 is coming toward end of life as soon as D8 is released which should be by the end of 2014. Due to that, I am going to be closing all 6.x issues as it's a hurdle too far to overcome with the amount of issues in the queue against this module.
