When I try to add a field to a custom flexinode that I have created , I don't see any option for adding a textfield.

But I can add things like an mp3 field, e-mail field, image field etc...

Does anyone know what may be causing this pecularity?

Check in the modules/flexinode directory. Does a file named "field_textfield.inc" exist?

After reading through some docs and getting a better understanding of flexinode, my problem is solved. Thanks for the help.
