Issue Summary
Maybe I'm particularly just stunned, but I'm stuck. I've installed the conference module and gone through, creating the types/ roles, setting the permissions, all as per the manual. The `conference settings' page looks all as it should be. Then I get to the `Conducting a Conference' part of the manual, and there is just no manage conference menu to be found for the user with the conference admin role anywhere. Where should I be looking? This is with drupal core 6.16.

That is -- the menu doesn't appear, and if I view page source and search for `conference' or `manage' to see if it's there but not being displayed because of some formatting issue with my site, there's nothing at all there. So presumably I've done something wrong in the set up, but I can't guess what. Yes, I've triple-checked that the appropriate role has conference module/manage conference permission, and that the appropriate user has that role.

Having the same issue. Where is the conference menu exposed - I expected it to be a block, or even a menu, but don't see it anywhere? Using Drupal core 6.15. Thanks!

I am currently evaluating the Conference module for use on a conference in 2011, so giving myself plenty of time to install/learn.
I too followed the user manual provided and switched on all the permissions for the 3 roles (organiser, reviewer, contributor).
The one thing missing for the organiser was the "Manage conference" link.
The only way I have managed to get it to display in the navigation is to enable Administer nodes.
Not happy about giving this user full admin control of all nodes.
If there's a better solution (or the right solution that I've missed) would like to know so I can update.
Nice module by the way ... am also using node reference/referrer modules to add more flexibility in the conference contribution conference type (such as autocomplete text field with create) to let the contributor add authors/co authors.
Many thanks
