I have disabled the cache settings and I still get a blank page when trying to "administer" "modules"? Now I'm also getting blank pages when I search for certain terms. Other terms return a proper search results page?

You are hitting a php memory
You are hitting a php memory limit. If you are on shared hosting you may not be able to up this, so you may have to disable modules (though the db directly) until you get the modules pages. then you can decide what you really need. I'm not sure if there is anything you can do about your search running out of memory.
btw--a forum search would have turned up this answer for you. I've seen this post (practically identical wording) several times in the last couple of months). Please SEARCH *before* posting.
