Hi,

Do you have any idea why my Who's online block started showing less visitors even though I know from other sources that can not be true?

less visitors than what? what are your other sources? Visitors are afaik those users that have been active on your site the last couple of minutes.

For example, for the period of time that I set up for the block, let's say 2 hours it used to show let's say 200 visitors (not users). And then suddenly even though I did not change the period of time it started showing half only. I have 3rd party statistics which shows me an increase in visitors over time (and they are not lying).

It's probably due to different algorithms for the calculations.
