Excess Logging of Stock Queries in Recent Hits Log

Using D 6.16 with Uber 2.2 and uc_out_of_stock 6.x-1.4.

The module works well and displays the "out of stock" notification as needed. However, did notice in reports/recent hits log, that there are pages of logged stock queries generated by this module. i.e. stock query uc_out_of stock.

Is this normal and if yes can this information not be logged? The reason is that so far there are 18 pages of stock queries. Looks like one runs for each product listed for each site visitor and really clutters up the log. If one had thousands of products it could be a real challenge. And not sure if all these logged entries slows down server performance or page generation.
