Top-down permissions

Hope is not too late to fill up a feature request:

could Node Access Arbitrator handle top-down permissions/access?


Explain better:

ACTUALLY seems that all the various access-restrictive modules (Taxonomy access, Simple access, Category access, Organic Grups,...) deal with bottom-up permissions: that is basic users have access to some sections or to teasers only, but only priviledged users can get to see all sections or full-node views.

WOULD BE POSSIBLE to have some sort of top-down permissions (at least at node level), where basic authors are restricted to publish only to some sections, or to show to visitors just the teasers of their postings, while priviledged authors can publish wherever and/or show also their full nodes?


This approach could be usefull in different situations:

• sites where content is generated mainly by users: rookie/basic contributors can show teasers/excerpts only, veteran/priviledged contributors can show full nodes.
• sites with content generated both from editors and from users: users can post just to some sections and show teasers/excerpts only, editors can post to any section and show full nodes.
• commercial applications: basic advertisers can show only teasers/excerpts, priviledged/paying advertisers can show full nodes.
