Lightbox 6x-1.9

TEXT "TEXT"

Above works perfectly with Firefox 3.6 and Chrome 5.0.307.11. Lightbox opens as expected.
In Safari 4.0.4 Lightbox doesn't open. Link is just opened in same page.

For Firefox and Safari this is the case in both on both an Intel MacBook Pro and a Mac PowerPC G5 running under MacOS 10.5.8. Chrome on MacBook Pro.

Is this a known issue?
