Basically, clicks on landing on intended pages.

This is very odd.

Our destination urls are landing pages - but when ads appear on pages when we are in the top 10, the destination is replaced with the homepage.

In other words, when we click, we are directed at the homepage of our site.

I've actually deleted ads and submitted new ones to try to fix this - no luck.

Hi Jeff,

There is at least one reason this might be happening. Have you done the "GCLID Test"? Basically, you type in the URL for your landing page then add "?gclid=laksjdflkajoeiejrl" to the end. Some web site navigation systems will have trouble with the query string. Adding to the URL could cause a "Page Not Found" error. Or your system may simply redirect url's with invalid query strings (or even any query string) to your home page.

If this is your situation you have limited choices. You can disable Auto-Tagging, which could make tracking AdWords visits difficult or impossible. Or you can fix the web site navigation so the gclid query string does not interfere with site navigation.

Post your landing page URL and I will check it out. It only takes a few minutes to see if there is an easy solution for this--or if it is your problem at all.

And it's inconsistent.

Some ads served are fine. Some are not.

I can give you search terms which will display the identical ad - one instance of which successfully links to the homepage and one of which does not.
