I tried to translate the module into german and found a lot of strings to be untranslatable (in the block's settings, and in the user interface itself (hours days... until...). Could you go through the whole code, please.

You shouldn't use logic in the t() parameter. In fact you shouldn't use any dynamic string in translations. See why http://drupal.org/node/322732

Now the right patch is applied.
