we've been doing some research on how to deliver video to iphones, ipods, ipads and got the following

The iPhone supports the following codecs:

File container: MPEG-4
Video codec: H.264, baseline profile
Audio codec: AAC
In addition to making sure you use a supported codec, you will want to deliver the videos at an encoding rate that can be expected to play back reasonably well on a mobile device. You need to find a balance that will not take too long to buffer while still delivering a high quality viewing experience. Brightcove recommends the following data rates for your video and audio channel in your file:

Total data rate: 256kbps
Video data rate: 192kbps
Audio data rate: 64kbps

Can Flashvideo incorporate this? We're happy to pay for development if you provide a quote

It should be very interesting a solution with a playable html5 video, with fallback to classical flv/flash player.

To date, I haven't read nothing regarding it on flashvideo module. On the contrary, it works great with video module.

My personal problem is concerning with the migration of old content (--> flashvideo based) to the new one (--> video module).

I've been battling with the video and flowplayer api modules and have had partial success - video works on firefox, chrome and safari. Struggling with IE8 (and guessing IE7). Not tested Opera

Works great on iDevices & Android

would be great to have a user friendly solution :)

Hi,

I'm going to release the new version of a website that will be able to view the videos for IPAD devices / iphone. I used the video module, added with the JW Player module. It works well! FlashVideo unfortunately seems not supported for a long time and I moved to another module.
