Alright here is whats happening. I have a custom favicon of which i created and uploaded via the admin interface for the custom theme. That didn't work, so i uploaded it in global settings to override all favicon settings. that didn't work, so i copied the favicon to several locations through out the site, the sites/all/files directory, the root drupal install directory, my themes directory, and i even deleted the Drupal Favicon in the Misc folder.
So i have completely removed the original drupal favicon and replaced all favicons with my own and placed it in many locations!
i have flushed my cache and emptied my browsers cache. i even rebooted , and some how even thought i have wiped the drupal icon off my entire site its STILL SHOWING the drupal icon, ONLY on my site pages, the admin theme and menus all show the favicon i created! WHATS going on!
lastly i replaced the old drupal favicon to test. once i had it back in the misc folder i deleted it once more and pasted my custom favicon in the misc folder... and guess what happened.. my custom favicon CHANGED to the DRUPAL ONE! magically by itself?!?!? the thumbnail shows as my custom icon in all other folders but when i delete the original drupal icon and paste mine into the folder it BECOMES the drupal icon?!?
I am so confused
Anyone have this issue? any suggestions?

klonosperhaps related to #680428: theme favicon not always shown(?)
Apply the patch in that issue and see if it fixes your issue. Remember to also report back here if it does (or doesn't).

klonosIt's really great that another issue was closed, but you are not helping if you never post information regarding if it was resolved after all or not. If yes, how? Did the patch in the issue I pointed you to in post #1 do the trick?
Let us know and thus help the community please.
