Would you please also consider converting the first row of tables from &td;td> to <th> ?
This way we'll get headers too :-)

Of course, this won't be desired in all situations so maybe there should be a config interface where you can set if the filter should convert first line to header or not.

Glad to hear the module is working for you.

I see this feature as a bit out of scope for the module, as what you're suggesting actually changes the semantics of the output. If such a feature were to be implemented, it would have to be done as a separate filter. I'd be willing to review patches, but I'm still not sure if it belongs here, so it would be great if any other users could chime in.
