There has already been interest expressed in this back on a thread about the 2005 expansion of options. There may be a good way to do this without modifying Profile but it's not obvious to me yet...
* Add a field option to users' profiles for RSS feeds. Perhaps supply a check for validity.
* User profile RSS feeds would be assigned a taxonomy term or otherwise made available to the aggregator module
Presto-cadabra, your site now has a place where users can go to see what all their (web 2.0-y) fellow users are doing at their sites!
RELATED: Would it be possible to permit profile fields to be multiple, so that admins could allow it and users could supply for instance three web site URLs, two RSS feeds, and -- most useful and most of an issue when it comes to Drupal's core -- multiple e-mail addresses?
ALSO RELATED: The User Profile RSS Field should be setable as available or not based on user role, so you could reward trusted users, or invited experts, or your board of directors etc. etc.
