It would be just awesome if instead of linking the node where the images come from, the link were related to lightbox! And it's probably not very difficult to do... Maybe I'll try to make a patch, I don't know if I have time at this moment, but I'll try!

Just attaching a patch, but it's a very simple patch. I haven't done any administration ui, but it has to be very simple.

The module to use is shadowbox as in my site I use this one because it permits me to have images and videos in the same gallery, but it must be as simple as changing the word "shadowbox" for "lightbox" and I think it should work.

If I have time in anothe moment I'll try to do the UI and even allow to choose imagecache preset for shadowbox/lightbox.
