register_globals is enabled. Drupal requires this configuration directive to be disabled. Your site may not be secure when register_globals is enabled. The PHP manual has instructions for how to change configuration settings. (Currently using PHP register globals Enabled ('1'))

I have no idea what the page link referred to in the error message is tyring to say. Where do I go to fix this? In the drupal folder? In the MySQL, phpMyAdmin?
I am not working locally. I have ftp'd the drupal folder to my hosting site and set up a MySQL data base in the CPanel.

See:
Documentation -> Troubleshooting -> Webhosting issues -> Register globals should be disabled
It's basically a host environment issue.
register_globals setting in your php.ini file
Check your php.ini file and set register_globals to Off
If you don't know where it is, ask your hosting provider.
Here is what the section looks like in mine.
; You should do your best to write your scripts so that they do not require
; register_globals to be on; Using form variables as globals can easily lead
; to possible security problems, if the code is not very well thought of.
register_globals = Off
I'm a noob and the posts here have helped me a great deal. Hope this helps.
cPanel PHP configuration
If your host uses cPanel then under Software look for php.ini EZConfig.
(I have found with some skins (rv especialy) the link does not work. X3 seems pretty reliable.)
The first screen wants you to enable EZConfig. After you do that you will come to a long list of PHP configuration choices. Scroll down to register_globals and select Off then scroll all the way down and click Save Changes.
Go back to your Drupal site and the Register Globals error should be gone.
(Different hosts enable different features in cPanel so you may not have this option.)
Thanks!
Thanks, Tom! That helped right away without a lot of research and digging through documentation.
Thanks Tom! After much
Thanks Tom!
After much initial searching through the cPanel, your comment took me straight there.
