Hello,

We just run a translation sprint and weren't able to validate all suggestions and/or new translations.

We tried all roles at our disposition. Without success.

So in short, we can :
- add strings self validated (via a .po import for example)
- add suggestions (via a .po import for example)

But we can't :
- add strings via localize (there is a random success)
- add suggestions via localize (there is a random success)
- validate suggestions via localize (there is a random success)

Can't provide more accuracy because it seems random (the same string will be saved/approved -or not- after several trying).

Sounds interesting. Do you have connection issues? Is localize.drupal.org timing out for you? What's the sympthom of strings not being entered or approved? Any error messages? Any success messages?

This could be the same issue as #744840: Lost group specific access permissions after l.d.o update or something else depending on your feedback. Either way, its an infrastructure issue.

The issue at #744840: Lost group specific access permissions after l.d.o update (which was retitled since the above comment) is now resolved with a fix committed to the base module and rolled out. Are you still experiencing issues? Once again, more detail would be vital. Especially since you consider this critical (but I have not heard about such issues from anybody else).

=> No. In fact, 8 different users (Mac, PC, Safari, FF, Chrome...) experienced the same situation.

Is localize.drupal.org timing out for you?
=> No. It was pretty fast.

What's the symptom of strings not being entered or approved?
=> We tried to identify the symptom but with no sucess.
=> There were no consistancy : could be a long or a short string, with or without special caracters...
=> It seems that some of us experienced sucess with only one or three strings at a time

Any error messages? Any success messages?
=> That's the weird part : I personnaly had one success message but I'm not sure that all the strings/corrections/suggestions were added because it seems that the second time several strings were added but without any message !

I will try to investigate today and be back with more details.

OK,

I just tried some tests such as :
- overwriting my own suggestion,
- validating suggestions from other users,
- ...

And encountered no problem...
There was probably something mystic in the air saturday ;-)
