I don't understand why the event boxes should be so wide in the calendar. You can see what I mean at my site. Half the box is empty. These wide boxes prevent the columns in the calendar from being equal in width.

Have a look at this comment: http://www.drupal.org/node/59662, and maybe http://www.drupal.org/node/28941 as well. You will need to make changes to the CSS for your theme.
