Collaborative Drawing in Drupal?
Hi,
I am working on a site that needs not only collaborative writing, but should also support sketching. As for the writing part, Drupal has really everything I need, I could not find anything for the drawing.
My idea is a tool (maybe an embedded Java app) that gives a minimal sketching environment in the browser. This is some kind of demo stuff for java and had been implemented many years ago. This tool should have a submit button, which sends the drawing back to the Drupal site (perfect if it sends it as svg), where it should be stored in the database just as any other content. A filter could than create a nice svg object when someone browses the page, and the browser could either show the illustration by a plug-in or built-in svg renderer (as in recent Firefox releases).
So, is there anything like that available, or do I have to call this post a feature request? If so, is there any one interested in working on something like that? I am not really a coder, but I think it would give a whole new quality to Drupal.
TIA+CU Lars.

hm i dont think there is
hm i dont think there is something which fits exactly because your ideas are very specific. But maybe you could ask the guys at terminus1525.ca how they implemented the "Graffiti Wall" ( http://www.terminus1525.ca/forum ).
I dont know if this is the sort of thing you are looking for, but maybe this is some start.
Greetings
inkscape has a cool "collab
inkscape has a cool "collab drawing over jabber" thing. I've been meaning to try it, but didn't find time. You could integrate Drupal with a jabber server. Downside is that everybody would need inkspace.

Collaborative Drawing... without drupal
Dear Mr,
I recently discover Gliffy.
The drawing can be embedded into a blog or wiki page. I do not know how to integer these new tools (google spreadsheet, gliffy, writely...) into Drupal... I really do not know the future of CMS compare to the platforms that will progressively integrate such tools into a coherent interface.

Gliffy's great
Well,
This Gliffy looks great. I am going to use it to design collaboratively our Web site

I've got a project like that, under drupal
I'm working on Wikipaint, a collaborative online drawing tool made with flash 6 and drupal.

Gliffy integration with Drupal?
Has anyone been able to integrate Gliffy with Drupal? I see they've just released a Wordpress plugin.
