Servers provide different mechanisms and protocols through which external clients can communicate with Drupal. Here are some of the Servers that are available for use with the Services module.

  • JSON D6+Services 2.0, included in D7+Services 3.x
  • REST D5, D6, included in D7+Services 3.x
  • XMLRPC included in D7+Services 3.x
  • AMFPHP D5, D6, not D7
  • JSON-RPC D6, not D7
  • PLIST D6, not D7
  • SOAP D6, D7
