Hi all,
I have used splash on my website to display a flash on a user visiting the url. It works great in firefox, chrome & ie7,8. Today I noticed that I am having a problem with safari. When I open the url in safari http://beta.arasan.com it takes me to the index.html page as it should and when I click a link in the flash which says Skip Intro which takes me into drupal, instead safari reloads the flash. I observed that momentarily the browser tries to open http://beta.arasan.com/index.php and again opens http://beta.arasan.com/index.html
I am not exactly sure what the problem maybe related to cookie storage. If anyone can take a closer look and identify the problem I would be very grateful.

drupaledmonk commentedThe cookie of the splash page is being recieved by safari and yet I am not able to go further into the website in safari. Has anyone had any issue with safari and splash before?

gapa commentedToday I also noticed that problem. Safari 5.0.1. Win7 64bit. Don't have a clue why this happens.

wheck commentedHi! You say splash module works on Firefox and IE, but I can't seem to get it to work! I installed it and configured it to display splash in fullscreen and then redirect, but this only works on chrome. In Firefox and IE it freezes after displaying the splash. Any clues on what could be happening?
Thanks in advance!

drupaledmonk commentedI couldn't solve the problem, So I uninstalled the module and used the apache configurations to redirect to a php script which would check if the cookie exits on the client's side and manually set a variable to the cookie to check if the user visited before, else if the cookie has expired to direct him to my splash page.
