Ok, I've put in at the original issue, which is marked critical but seems all but dead (no meaningful activity on it since last month)...

Am personally about to roll several sites and this is the last big issue that I need to get a handle on before doing so. Hence my incentive to try and push for a resolution rather than wait any longer for that thread to pickup again.

Please if anyone can help further illuminate how to take care of the login-lockout issue - or what the status of a committed fix is - I (and likely several other people) would be very appreciative.

I have no answer, but I would also like to indicate my interest in a fix for this issue. It seems to be unusually frustrating in that I can't seem to reliably reproduce the problem. Somebody smarter than me should be working on it, I guess :)
