Hi, thanks for the proposal!
How to automatically set some taxonomy values I once tried to figure out here http://drupal.org/node/229841 (not related to createfromweb though).
A more profound approach probably would be to utilize the 'token' module (to be part of core in D7) -- anyone have a go on this? ;)
