Nodeaccess or Node_Access

ok, so I have looked at both modules and frankly, they look like they provide the same functionality, just with different implementations.

I am after the ability to restrict view access to certain node types, and perhaps in the future, to be able to restrict view access to certain records within a node type.

Anybody got an opinion on which module is better, more robust, accepted etc.?

I've already seen the overview page (http://drupal.org/node/270000) and it seems to be pushing nodeaccess rather than node_access.
