Upgraded to "cvs, 25/07/2006 - 02:16, 13.01 KB" and after that the Scheduling option disappeared when creating new content.

The permission names changed, you'll have to double check your permissions.

Make sure you run update.php and have enabled scheduling for this node type. See admin > settings > content types

I probably misunderstood "double check your permissions" which in this case means "See admin > settings > content types".
