I'm not a good programmer, and think that the following would help me, and perhaps others get started:

  • admin/help has entries for QPCache and QueryPath Examples, but nothing for just QueryPath. Perhaps the latter could "include" the readme that appears in advanced help, and perhaps links to (a) querypath.org (b) http://technosophos.com/qp/articles (c) http://api.querypath.org/ and (d) https://fedorahosted.org/querypath/
  • admin/help for QueryPath Examples has no useful examples or documentation. I would suggest either removing the entry, or summarising the examples providing, with a link to them.
  • help/querypath/README.txt tells me that "Right now, you also need to manually fetch and install the QueryPath", but I found that Querypath was already included with the download.
  • After installing Querypath, there is no admin page (perhaps obviously for an API). For beginners, this is often the first place to look that a module has been installed successfully. It would be reassuring if there was an "admin page" which just lists: (a) the version number of the module and library (if present), and a link to the Help page.

I've gone ahead and marked this as a bug, as at least some of the things above really are broken (like the outdated README).

Thanks,
