The project page says there is a bug preventing a stable release for d6 which relates to the upgrade path. However, there is no link to the issue(s) that are being referred to, and several searches through the issue queue don't seem to turn up anything obvious.

Can someone point out which issue is holding this back (and add the appropriate link to the project page)? or provide further comment towards this issue?

Perhaps related to this (or a separate issue) is what the D7 plans for this module are?

Does this mean it only affect you if you go from d5 to d6?.

If I have d6 installed then is this going to be a problem?.

Have people been using the dev version and how stable is it?

D7 plans: I use the module myself, so I will be updating it at some point in the future. However, the exact point is unknown.

@killes - its great to hear that one day we might see a D7 version, but can you point out what is preventing a D6 version?

It would be really helpful to get a stable release for event, or at least an idea what is preventing it. There are a few "critical" bugs, but some are very old, so I am not sure if they still apply to the latest dev, and none of them seem to relate to the upgrade path...
