There is a 4.6 module (massmailer) that's slowly making progress toward 4.7. You might be able to get it to work. See: http://drupal.org/project/massmailer and http://drupal.org/node/44483 and

I'm also interested in phplist for Dupal 4.7.
Mainly because I want a simple newsletter sign up which also gives me the option of collecting postal addresses.

Anyone know any alternatives?
