aaron commentedi strongly suggest we use http://plugins.jquery.com/project/jPlayer as an option; that might be configurable by the admin to use other player options in the future (not required for a beta)

ManyNancy commentedThere already is a jplayer module, so using a library manager would be necessary.
Using html5 audio would avoid the problem though, IE8> users can live with graceful degradation? :D
