DXMPP is now dependent on user_relationships_api.

The administrator should be able to choose what kind of relationships the roster is based on:

  • Site-wide
  • User_relationships
  • Project members (organic groups)
  • Forum members?
  • Custom module

yes; this is definitely a good idea. would be in line with #768946: Proposal to make DXMPP act like an API with IM on board!. perhaps using a hook for the relationship, then implementing it as a convenience for UR, OG, forum, etc.
