It would be really useful if administrators could choose how content behaves when a user is deleted based on the content type.

For instance, when a user is deleted:
Set all comments to "anonymous"
Assign OG Groups to Administrator
Delete Blog content
etc.

This would be especially useful on collaborative sites, such as wikis, project management sites, social networks, and so on.

No, actually not.
This module is a backport of D7 functionality.

You may provide patches though.

Ah, ok. Could you mark that on the project page? I wouldn't have known that if you hadn't told me.

I'd love to see a patch that allows this kind of functionality, but I don't think I'm skilled enough for the task. I'll look into it, but in the meantime, if anyone would like to take this on, I'd be much obliged.

Lets keep 6.x-1.x as it is and moving feature requests for 2.x branch, this way we can introduce features as additional modules that can be ported to d7 also.
