I'm looking at using the multi-site function to provide a complete hosting & site package. I'm still wrapping my head around Drupal, let alone the multi-site aspects... but I find myself getting really excited and everything that is possible.

One thing I haven't really come across yet is if or how storage space and bandwidth may be controlled, limited, for each multi-site?

Obviously in a typical hosting situation, all of that is controllable, but in this case, all sites are really contained within the parent hosting account. When running several of your own sites, maybe not such an issue, but if running other's sites, it could be dangerous to let one site mis-use, abuse, or simply gobble up all the resources.

Or am I missing something?

thanks

Okay? Anyone? Let's simplify it... what about just limiting the storage space then? Bandwidth is probably less important, but I can easily see a site where a lot of photos get added and either one site or several sites eat up the available storage space.

Without this, it seems that multi-site is really only feasible where all sites belong to the same owner.

Wow... over a week a no response.

Even simpler... if no one has the answer, has anyone else even wondered about this or is this entirely new ground for the multi site questions?

From August 6, 2006 to now... have been a while... and I would need to know that too...

I'm also interested if this is possible and how to achieve it if it is.
