I have found that the stock level resets to the default amount when a product is updated.

I am using the Product Power Tools module so not sure if it to do with that or Ubercart.

Updated? Exactly what steps are you taking on what page? You need to provide enough information so that someone can try and reproduce your problem.

I have my stock set to a default of 1000 and as people buy the product the stock reduces accordingly. I have found though that if I amend the product, such as change the title (i.e update it) and then save the product the stock reset back to 1000. Hope that it clearer.

As I said, you need to provide some information. Do you have attributes, options, adjustments? Are you tracking stock separately on each attribute/option combination? Since there is no "default" stock value, just an initial quantity, I fail to see how it can remember what to "reset" to ... Where are you setting the stock? Where are you seeing it "reset"? You mentioned power tools - where does that come into play, and does the problem exist without power tools in use? If you don't provide steps to reproduce the problem I don't see how we can confirm it or address it.

I would also ask for few clarifications:

1. Do you have automatic SKU module installed?
2. Please confirm that SKU stays the same after you update your product.

This issue may be related to updating SKU, which leads to stock being reset to default values.

Please confirm if I am correct or not.

The problem is definitely to do with the Product Power Tools (PPT) module as when it's not installed the problem goes away. In regards to the auto sku, do you mean the auto sku that comes with PPT, if so yes it is.

As for any other details, I've not included them because I'm not using attributes, options, adjustment. It's simply a product with stock, nothing more, nothing less.
