Won't build menu when URL Rewrite Activated.

If I activate URL Rewrite plugin in Gallery2 the Drupal Module loses the menus and won't rebuild them. No error given, just nothing there. If I deactivate the URL Rewrite plugin the menus build fine. Many (hundreds) of the images were already indexed by Google in a standalone gallery with the rewrite activated. Now all those links from Google give errors as the path isn't valid without the URL rewrite. But if deactivated then the lack of menu items give access denied to the Google links. Site at sys666.net.
