3 hours after trying to set up multi-site, I’ve given up and simply did a multi install. Here’s an idea for you prolific, talented Drupal developers: Multi-site Module.

User Requirements

1. Enters site name
2. Selects database option: Share existing or Create new
3. Submits form

System Requirements

1. Creates directory in sites
2. Writes settings.php file
3. Modifies or creates database
4. Displays all sites for the corresponding code base

I think this seems reasonable, are you asking drupal community to make multi site function in this way, or are you giving a description of how it currently functions for us rooks

Hi FlatFeeKing,

You still can't get your site "Contact us" done similar like Drupal site?

Best regards,

It seems the description of a module, but there isn't such module in the modules list.
Maybe he planned to develop it, and he didn't develop it.

As the submission date is in 2006, I would rather think he will never create the project he is describing.

Here is a very easy step by step way to multisite install.

It is clean way where you use one drupal code base 5x or 6x and different database for each site.
