Any interest in a traveler module? I have a prototype for this module on www.johnchalekson.com.
It is just a barebone structure, with javascript and html in the block. CSS can be added to it, in another file.

The basic premise of it is to provide some content or a useful tool to small bloggers, travel oriented sites, or sites related to vacationing and leisure.

The search is performed by a meta-search engine, that scrapes price data from all the major travel sites (travelocity, expedia, priceline, etc), and displays the information in a new window after the search is complete.

Let me know if there is further interest in a module of this nature. I need to do some more work on it before it is released.

I think it has uses.... How much trouble is it to configure for other uses ? besides travel data i mean ?
And... is it going to import the data into you own site ?

It would be a good interface for the scraper module im thinking.

Hi John,

I am making a travel site with Drupal (or at least trying to :) so I would love to see this module further developed and will definately make use of it and I'm sure a lot of other people out there will too :)

Good work!

Morphir, I was wondering if you could take a look at this in the pastebin. It needs a lot of work. I am in #drupal and #drupal-support on IRC.. maybe if anyone is interested in helping format the code a little better or the structure, we can chat in there. this code in the pastebin "works" but it needs a lot of work. i am new to module building..

yeah. I'am there to(at #drupal) representing morphir of course:)
I've installed the module, but I don't know where to go after I've enabled it. So I would preferr some talk about this for sure..

Cheers!

Its a little messy, i admit. but this allows the module to be displayed as a node on the site www.site.com/traveler, or as a block in the content section.
I have not added the CSS to this yet.

I have implemented the blocks on a test site of mine. http://www.thingstoday.com as well, and it seems to be working ok.

The other test site has both the blocks and the node menu http//www.johnchalekson.com, but there is a conflict, because when the blocks are applied to all the content pages, when viewing http://www.johnchalekson.com/traveler, it displayed 2 search boxes on the same page, and neither one of them are functional. I need to figure out why this is, or how to fix that.

Hi,
How about the Traveler module? Did you succeed with it?
The block underneath your thingstoday website looks very promissing. Is it drupal 4.7 code?
Please respond.

Thanks in advance!

Martijn
