I'm experiencing very slow performance with pollfield-6.x-1.x-dev-2010-Mar-18
Average loading time is under 2 sec on my server but pages with pollfield take over 20 sec to load. I'll test the stable version pollfield-6.x-1.11-beta1 and will report back.

Is this 20 sec is when you have only one user at time? Is caching is on? Is this for anonymous user or registred?

only one user at time, tested with user 1 and registered user, with no caching. testing environment was a clone of a production site with many modules installed.

Do you have on logging performance that we can determine what is slow? I did try to reproduce your problem(7 polls per node cache is off) but I didn't found any problem can you tell little more about environment? Do you use multi language site is there any module that can cause problem?

love the module but slow performance is a killer issue (20 seconds) ... anything i can contribute to help resolve this issue? only 1 poll, no votes, and only a preview audience looking at the site.

Found the problem with pollfield...

I noticed that if I use the URL /polling_q001 it takes 20 seconds. if I use /node/739 then it's instantaneous ... has something to do with the URL

changed the title as you can't reproduce the problem on a basic environment, i didn't have performance logging and i already deleted the test site. right now we are using the stable release on our production site which doesn't have slow performance issue with our environment. I'll create a new test environment as soon as i find some time and try to log performance. for the time being lets keep this issue open and see if others experience such a problem and what they can tell us about their environment.

PS my test environment was multilingual.

OK @GA. It will be interesting to see what is going on. Module has some new features regard to multi language. That is vote aggregation (see dev features). I have one installation using this features and didn't find any problem yet. Maybe this information will help to find how to reproduce the problem.

Need more specific information on this one, or I'll close it. I don't deny that there are some performance issues, but let's try and get specific with some specific code. I'll leave this issue open for a little bit, and if there isn't any new activity I'll close this issue out so that we can focus on some specific performance issues.
