As mentioned on IRC:

Filter is overridden:

Tell it to use default:

At this point, it's confusing. You'd think you would need to save but the only option is to update the default and you don't want to do that with the value changed.

There's also some confusion since filters are overridden as a whole rather than each filter. Maybe it would be better to put the reset button in the "Filters" title bar rather than on individual filter entries?

Isn't the new "update and override" button a solution for this?

As discussed on IRC, nope, that won't do it. :)

First i would like to say that the fact that when a filter is updated all others are too is not very intuitive, specially becouse of the location of the override button: I agree with

Maybe it would be better to put the reset button in the "Filters" title bar rather than on individual filter entries

also the current "Update and override" & "Update default display" buttons don't solve the problem.
On the other hand i consider the issue is closed becouse it works as designed for the dev (could be a feature request):

bug reports are when the software actually behaves incorrectly

After discussion on #drupal-views, this should still be active. It's a confusing UI and there is still a chance it could get fixed before 2.x is deprecated.

Correcting input format, it should not be full html.
