There are many ways you could use this and no straight forward example.

The module is inspired by the information box on mediawiki. See this article on the Greek language on Wikipedia (as of today): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_language.

There is a box of information about the Greek language embedded in the top-right section of the text. Now in Drupal, you could create a region (or two) in your node template for inserting one or more of such information boxes.

Normally, only admins can create such custom information boxes and assign them to various pages (nodes). Imagine writing 100 articles, each with a unique information box( or more)! The admin (since you don't want to grant everyone admin access to administer blocks for various security reasons) will have to create all these boxes one by one. This is too much trouble, and unworkable where the site uses community editors (as opposed to one trusted editor/admin).

This module just allows each community editor to create info boxes that are relevant to her article without having to harass the admin for help. Of course, she can achieve the same effect by just constructing HTML within the text if she's an HTML don, but she loses the flexibility of a block as a moveable container of text.
