I've been working on pretty much the same project. Except I'm writing my own Android app and I did a couple of things different then droidpal. Anyways I found my self having to add a couple of method to services to get the functionalities I need. I don't want to have to create another drupal module so I was wondering if I can start a new branch maybe a 6.2 branch and continue my development there.
